Objects in the Job Explorer

The Job Explorer is a fully functional storage area for all of the objects that make up the EnterpriseSCHEDULE system. These objects are grouped by default in the tree view by category using Category folders. The objects that can be stored in a folder are:

Description

Jobs

The main building block of job scheduling, jobs contain the properties that determine how, when and under what conditions a job runs.

Calendars

Calendars are tools that aid in the rescheduling of jobs by determining the days that the job runs in a marked calendar.

Variables

Variables add a degree of advanced programming structure to jobs by allowing the value of a variable to determine scheduling activity.

Reports

Reports can be created of the contents of the database as well as historical job activity.

Layouts

Layout files are text based entries that determine how jobs are displayed in the layout window (usually not manually edited).
