Connections between jobs

Jobs that are connected with lines in the layout are said to be dependent on one another. This allows jobs to be arranged in a stream that depend on the success or failure of other jobs. Using this method, you can set up a long series of jobs that are triggered by an initial scheduled job and run individually or in groups to completion.

EnterpriseSCHEDULE has advanced tools to build dependencies within the layout. Drawing live dependencies between jobs is performed by clicking on the dependencies button and dragging a line between the two jobs.

Note: This connection will not take effect until the layout is saved. Until this takes place, the layout is still in edit mode and dependency lines will be ignored. For more on saving a layout, see Saving a layout.

EnterpriseSCHEDULE has two types of dependencies: Initiates and Prerequisites.
