Setting Workspace Options

The Workspace options are used to define the appearance of the workspace including what type of grid is displayed, the size and color of the workspace and whether to lock further changes to the layout.

To set the Workspace options, select the Workspace tab from the Options menu.

Description

Grid

The grid system helps align and position objects accurately in the job group window. There are three adjustments that can be made to grid settings:

  • Show the grid in the workspace - Determines whether or not the grid will appear. A check mark indicates that a grid will appear.
  • Number of Lines - Determines the number of horizontal and vertical lines will appear in the grid. Adjust for a wider or narrower space between grid lines.
  • Line color - The line color may be chosen from a full spectrum of colors in the Windows palette.

Size

The size and background color of the job window can be configured to defaults when opened.

  • Height - Enter the desired default height of the job group window. You may determine the units of measure to be inches, cm or pixels.
  • Width - Enter the desired default width of the window when opened. You may determine the units of measure to be inches, cm or pixels.
  • Color - Select a default background color for the job group window from a full spectrum of colors in the Windows palette.
