Folder Properties

The SCHEDULE System supports two levels of folders, a top level and one sublevel. Though the concept of folders is identical to the folders used in Windows, EnterpriseSCHEDULE folders are organized within the central database. They can only contain EnterpriseSCHEDULE objects and can only be accessed or modified within Windows. The basic folder formats are:

Folder

Description

\

Root folder

\toplvl\

Top level folder

\toplvl\sublv\

Sublevel folder

\DEFAULT\

Last resort defaults

As the following figure illustrates, the folder tree is very similar to the Windows Explorer tree view. The structure is based on the folders that are present on the server that the user is logged on to and the group that has been chosen for scheduling. The folder depth goes down a maximum of two levels and can contain jobs, calendars, variables, reports, startup file and layout files. By clicking on a job, the individual property pages of the job may also be accessed.

The default folder is the user's username. Each folder can contain seven object types.
