What if you can't connect to the server

The TCP\IP under Windows allows a computer to communicate over a network with another user by using any of the following:

• IP address
• Host name
• NetBIOS name

If you get the correct response when using ping with an IP address but an incorrect response when ping with the host name or NetBIOS name you may have a name resolution problem. First make sure that the SCHEDULE server is up and running on the node in question. Check with your system administrator to assure that the DNS server or HOSTS file is correctly configured in your system.
