3.4 Include

The Include menu allows the user to include either a job or a directory of jobs in a job group window. Including a job will include only the chosen job. Including a directory will include all jobs in a directory with all dependencies established. This is different from creating a new job group in that dependent jobs are not included. The dependencies linking the newly included job(s) to each other or the original jobs will be shown automatically.

3.4.1 Directory...

The Include directory operation allows the inclusion of an entire directory of jobs in a job group window. It is possible to include any number of directories within a job group window. It is also possible to draw dependencies between directories of jobs. This makes it possible for an entire directory of jobs to establish a dependency with another entire directory.

In order to include a directory in the current job group, select Directory... from the Include... menu. The form shown below will appear.

Select the directory of jobs to be included in the current job group. The jobs and their dependencies will be added to the group.

3.4.2 Job...

The include job operation allows the inclusion of a single job to the job in a job group window. This makes it possible to include a job from another directory in a job group and to establish a dependency if necessary.

In order to include a job in the current job group, select Job... from the Include... menu. The form shown below will appear.

Select the job to be included in the current job group. The job will be added to the group.

3.5 Display

The Display menu is used to change and update various aspects of how jobs are displayed in the job group window. This includes the zoom level, orientation, directory listings and states.

3.5.1 Reconfigure

The Reconfigure selection places the jobs in the job group window in a sequential order on the screen. This is intended to give a picture of the jobs in the natural flow that they follow. After reconfiguring, the user may want to rearrange the jobs manually to suit the needs of the job.

In order to reconfigure the job group window, select Reconfigure from the Display menu. The figure below shows a job group window before and after the recon operation.

3.5.2 Change zoom

If desired, the jobs in the job group may be zoomed to only display the queue state icons and not the job directory and/or job name. This makes it easier to fit all the jobs in a job group into the window. It does however make it more difficult to see what jobs are in what queues.

In order to toggle the zoom of the job group window, select Change zoom from the Display menu. The figure below shows a job group window before and after the change zoom operation.
