2.3 Control

The Control menu is used to indicate the level of control and update ability a user has when using the MOTIF Editor/Monitor. The level of functionality is controlled through a command line parameter when starting the MOTIF Editor/Monitor.

The level of control a user has should be based on the extent of access that the user requires. By setting these options off, certain aspects of job and update control can be controlled. If a user is only in charge of the running and/or stopping of jobs, job control may be the only necessary capability. If a user need only update job data, update data may be the only necessary option.
