Job Layout Controls

The Layout controls for Jobs determine how the job icons behave and are displayed in the layout. The various settings are described in the table below.

In order to open the Jobs Layout controls:

Click on the Jobs tab in the Layout controls.

Field

Description

Jobs Default Folder

This is the default folder that jobs in the layout reside.

Show external dependencies

Check this to show a symbol on a job to indicate there are external dependencies

Set id displayed

This determines what set id(s) will be active in the layout display. The choices are:

  • Highest active id is the most recent run instance of the job. Current activity for that run will be shown in the job's icons.
  • Highest set id per job displays the highest set id for each job and not the latest event for every job as in All ids (see below). This changes the display when jobs with different set ids run concurrently.
  • All ids will display activity for the latest instance for each job in the display.
  • Most recent run - Will display the current state of the most recent run of the jobs.
  • Specified id will display a specific instance based on the set id entered in the field.

Job names format

This determines the way the job name is displayed in job icons in the layout. The choices are:

  • Minimum is just the job name
  • Full name is the full job name including the node and/or the directory specification.
  • None - no job name will be displayed.
