An example

To automate the use of the procedure schedule_convert.com use the following steps.

Record the procedure: (characters typed are in red)

$ schedule insert monthly_convert keystrokes<cr>

Exit keystroke capture with a "<CTRL>\"

Ks$ @schedule_library:schedule_convert <cr>

Select CONVERT operation to perform:

(The server should not be running when

any of these operations are done.)

1. CONVERT CONTROL.DAT

2. CONVERT HISTORY.DAT

3. Reclaim space in QUEUE.DAT

4. all of the above

9. EXIT

Using the EnterpriseSCHEDULE GUI the properties for the this job appear as follows:

Submit the job for execution.

$ schedule submit monthly_convert <cr>

Review the log file.

$ schedule type/batch_log monthly_convert <cr>
