UNIX/Linux Syntax Rules

UNIX/Linux:

Schedule> (UNIX/Linux style)command object_name [-qualifiers]

or

Schedule> command /directory/subdirectory/object_name [-qualifiers]

When issuing commands on AIX, HP-UX, AIX or Solaris versions of EnterpriseSCHEDULE, use a syntax structure similar to a UNIX/Linux shell command.

Note: A closing / indicates a directory is being referenced. For instance, /jjones/reports/ can only reference a directory. /newman/dir can only reference an object within that directory.

Note: Unix/Linux commands can either use the UNIX/Linux specific commands (i.e. lsdir, cpjob, mkcal etc.) or use - in place of / in the Windows/OpenVMS style (i.e. dir -dir, copy -job, create -cal etc.)
