Rename a layout (rename/layout or mvlay)

The rename command renames the layout from the old name to the designated new name.

Windows/OpenVMS Format:

rename/layout old_name new_name [/qualifiers]

UNIX/Linux Format:

mvlay old_name new_name [-qualifiers]

Qualifier Summary

/[no]log or -[no]log

/[no]confirm

/node or -node = target_node

Examples

Windows/OpenVMS:

Schedule> rename/layout test_layout production_layout

UNIX/Linux:

Schedule> mvlay test_layout production_layout

Qualifiers


/[no]confirm or -[no]confirm

CONFIRM requests that the user be prompted prior to any operation to verify that the selected entry is the correct one.

/hostname or -node =hostname

The qualifier specifies what node (either local or remote) you want the operation performed on.

/[no]log or -[no]log

The LOG qualifier causes each completed operation to issue a note to the user.
