Connection settings

The Connections window allow you to control the currently selected job's connections to other jobs. You may also set conditions for the execution of subsequent jobs based on other factors such as a variable's value, the severity level or the completion status of the job.

The buttons in the upper part of the window can be clicked to view or edit the list of connections for the currently selected job. The nature of the connection is shown graphically as they appear in the layout window with either an arrow (for Initiated and Activated by) or a small circle (for Prerequisite and Held up by).

Note: The connections between jobs can also be created using the Job Connection Tool in the Layout window. Once the connection is saved, it will be visible in the Layout window and will be listed as a connection in the Connections window.

There are four types of connections between jobs.

To alter the displayed list, use the action buttons provided.

Various conditions can be used with both initiates and prerequisites. These conditions and how to edit them are explained in the next section.
