Stop the server process (server stop)

The server STOP command will cause the server process to terminate. The STOP/SUBMITS command interactively stops the server from submitting jobs. The STOP/CLUSTER command requests that all members of the current cluster be stopped.

General format

Windows/OpenVMS:

server stop [/qualifiers]

UNIX/Linux:

server stop [/qualifiers]

Qualifier Summary

/cluster or -cluster

/confirm or -confirm

/log or -log

/net

/submits or -submits

Examples

Schedule> server stop

Qualifiers

/cluster or -cluster

The CLUSTER qualifier requests that all members of the current cluster perform this operation.

/[no]log or -[no]log

The LOG qualifier causes each completed operation to issue a note to the user.

/net

The NET qualifier indicates that this operation applies to the DECnet control components of the server (OpenVMS only).

/newlog

The NEWLOG qualifier requests that the server process close the current log file and start a new one.

/submits or -submits

The SUBMITS qualifier determines whether the operation affects the submission of jobs.
