Scheduling on a Windows Network

Depending on their level of access, individual users can use a workstation with the EnterpriseSCHEDULE client installed to access a devoted EnterpriseSCHEDULE server. The server can then be connected to for the EnterpriseSCHEDULE Explorer to modify, view, move, delete or submit their job streams. They can also use the EnterpriseSCHEDULE Layout to visually set up job streams and the EnterpriseSCHEDULE Job Monitor to monitor job activity.

Using this configuration, the user must designate the domain name or IP address of the server machine. For a description of how to connect to a EnterpriseSCHEDULE server, see Connecting to a Schedule server. In this configuration, all jobs, calendars and variables will be stored on the server machine. Therefore to access these objects in the EnterpriseSCHEDULE Explorer or the EnterpriseSCHEDULE Layout, you must be connected to that server.
