Before starting the installation procedures described in EnterpriseSCHEDULE, you should complete the preparation requirements outlined in this chapter. It provides the information necessary to make your installation run smoothly, including your installation options. Read this chapter to determine the following:
This section discusses various requirements for installing EnterpriseSCHEDULE for Solaris software.
EnterpriseSCHEDULE for Solaris takes approximately 10-15 minutes to install.
You must be able to log in as superuser on the system on which you are
installing EnterpriseSCHEDULE for Solaris software. Only when you are
logged in as superuser, do you have sufficient privileges to install
the EnterpriseSCHEDULE for Solaris software.
2.2 First time install login procedure
After completing the install procedure outlined below, first time EnterpriseSCHEDULE installations should login using the EnterpriseSCHEDULE client as a designated Private User to gain access to the system for configuration and licensing. A Private User is a non-operating system user that is created to manage and configure EnterpriseSCHEDULE but not to be used for job scheduling. To log in as a Private User use the following user name and password the first time you log in:
Username: isemanager
Password: ISElogin
Upon your first login using the isemanager Private User account, you will be asked to change your password for security purposes. Enter a password of at least 6 characters to log in. |
